Thank you for wanting to join in the adventure. The Chronicles of Ballidrous is a setting separated into territories, themed and fitted into a larger world. Each territory offers limited options, creating a genuine sense of exploring a new world. This is not a hard-fast rule, but builds depth in role-playing and adventuring.
- The world is heavily tied to the elemental planes and elemental magic. There is a source book available on these new elemental class options and spells, The Magics of Northern Ballidrous: Channelers and Weavers, if needing research material to explore.
- The fae are from a nearby plane, connecting to the realm as much as the astral plane. This has led to creatures and communities living on the material plane. There are the two courts, Summer and Winter, with various factions outside their reach. The fae are grouped into types (which is not complete yet as we continue to build), such as petal, wood, rock, dirt, mountain, pond� tying into the elemental theme to some degree.
The Chronicles of Ballidrous is supported by the Rivengeld website, designed to be more of an encyclopedic resource. Below are links to the site for players to aid in starting and running a campaign in this setting.
